Localized Boil Water Notice rescinded for Killiney Beach water system

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has rescinded a localized precautionary Boil Water Notice issued December 7 for some customers of the Killiney Beach water system.
Test results confirm water quality is within acceptable Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines and boil water precautions are no longer in effect for the following properties serviced in the Killiney Beach subdivision located off Westside Road:
- 9492-9693 Houghton Road
- Even numbered homes from 9544-9584 Keithley Road

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice for some residents served by the Killiney Beach water system following repairs to a valve on the main servicing these properties.
This affects the following properties serviced in the Killiney Beach subdivision located off Westside Road:
- 9492-9693 Houghton Road
- Even numbered homes from 9544-9584 Keithley Road

The December 31 deadline is approaching for business licence renewals for businesses operating in the Central Okanagan East and/or Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas. Renewal notices have been distributed either by mail or email with information for fee payment options. The two electoral areas include communities such as Joe Rich, Ellison, south Lakeshore Road, Brent Road, Trepanier, North Westside, Traders Cove, Shelter Cove, Wilson’s Landing, Fintry, Killiney Beach and Westshore Estates.

Getting into the holiday spirit with Wilson’s Landing Fire Department

Residents in communities served by the Wilson’s Landing Fire Department are encouraged to watch Tuesday evening for the flashing lights signifying the annual department Santa Run food drive.
From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 5, Santa joins department members on their festively glowing fire vehicles, travelling the streets and roads of the areas they serve from Traders Cove to Shelter Cove, collecting food and cash donations for the West Kelowna branch of the Central Okanagan Food Bank.
