Water Quality Advisory for Star Place water customers

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has issued a Water Quality Advisory for residents served by the Star Place water system in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.

One Boil Water Notice Rescinded for Killiney Beach

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has rescinded a precautionary Boil Water Noticeissued Monday evening for some customers of the Killiney Beach water system. 

Test results confirm water quality for the following properties is within acceptable Canadian Drinking Water Guidelines and boil water precautions are no longer in effect:

  • 9614 - 9674 Keithley Road
  • 502 - 519 Leah Road

The water notice was required following emergency repairs Monday evening to a broken main servicing the properties.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has issued another precautionary Boil Water Notice for some residents served by the Killiney Beach water system. The following properties serviced in the Killiney Beach subdivision located off Westside Road are affected by this notice:

  • 337, 343, 349, 373 and 379 Killarney Way
  • 9294 - 9514 Hodges Road

Review annual flood preparations

It’s that time of year for some Central Okanagan property owners to dust off their flood plans and get prepared.

With warmer temperatures forecast for later this week and recent spring rains, it’s anticipated the mid to upper elevation snow melt will speed up now through late June.  With these seasonal conditions, there is the potential for localized flooding. That’s true especially for those Central Okanagan property owners that have had high water issues in the past.
