Water Quality Advisory ends for Star Place water customers

After consulting with Interior Health, the Regional District of Central Okanagan has rescinded a Water Quality Advisory for customers of the small Star Place water system in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.
Turbidity in the system water source is once again within the acceptable and safe Canadian guidelines for drinking water quality. As a result, the precautionary Water Quality Advisory that has been in place since April 13 has been removed for the eight properties connected...
Beach swimming advisory at Reiswig Regional Park

Interior Health Authority has recommended a Beach Swimming Advisory at Reiswig Regional Park.
Each summer, Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) staff collect water samples from a number of regional beaches for Interior Health to test and analyze. Beaches that have historically shown higher than acceptable e-coli counts from time to time during the summer months are sampled weekly, with at least five samples in a 30-day period.

After a two-year COVID hiatus, watch for the Regional District of Central Okanagan Dog Ambassadors wearing their brightly coloured shirts as they visit all the popular dog hotspots.
