Due to essential scheduled maintenance, a series of two water disruptions may affect a limited number of customers in the Westshore Estates water system between October 16 and 18, 2024.
Properties at the following addresses may be affected on October 16 and 17, 2024 from approximately 7:30 am to 4 pm:

Starting today, randomly selected households throughout the Central Okanagan and Vernon will receive a letter inviting them to participate in the 2024 Okanagan Travel Survey between Oct. 7 and early November. Bridge closure in Mission Creek Regional Park

The Kokanee Bridge in Mission Creek Regional Park will be closed for construction starting Monday, October 7, 2024. The bridge will reopen by end of day, Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
The bridge closure will allow crews to complete concrete repairs and install new guardrails. Park users who wish to access the south side of Mission Creek Regional Park may detour via the soopalalie Trail across the Cottonwoods Bridge, adjacent to Ziprick Road.

Open burning permits available October 4

Effective Friday, October 4 at 12:00 p.m. (noon), restrictions for open burning in the Central Okanagan will be lifted and permits will be available for eligible property owners from their local fire service. Permits holders can burn outdoors on days when both air quality and venting indices are good.
Permits usually run from October 1 through to April 30 in the Central Okanagan, although the date may be adjusted depending on the local fire hazard.
