Star Place water quality advisory

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has issued a Water Quality Advisory for residents served by the small Star Place Water System in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area.
The advisory affects eight properties connected to the community water system on Star Place off Trepanier Road near the Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97-C) and follows repairs and maintenance work carried out on the system earlier today. Our Responsible Dog Ownership Bylaw allows dog owners in the Central Okanagan to license up to three dogs in any Central Okanagan home. Of course, all dogs must be licensed each year in the region.

Our most recent survey of licensed dogs in the Central Okanagan found Bella and Charlie as the top two names for pooches!
That's similar to findings from a global survey of most popular dog names.
Trepanier Creek Greenway trail closure

A section of Trepanier Creek Greenway Regional Park is closed until the end of October.
The recreational trail closure is approximately 500 metres upstream from the Clements Road trailhead next to Peachland Elementary school and three kilometres downstream from the Trepanier Road trailhead near Highway 97-C.
The closure is required for watermain construction as part of the new Peachland Water Treatment plant project.

It happens. Sometimes our dog-friends can't help themselves and accidentally escape from our homes or yards.
A license on your dog collar or harness is required for all dogs in the Central Okanagan under the Responsible Dog Ownership Bylaw to help speed and reunite dog owners with their pets.
