Hazard tree removal will close a portion of Mission Creek Greenway

On Tuesday, March 11 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm a small portion of the Greenway trail in Mission Creek Regional Park will close for hazard tree removal. During this time, the trail between the Ziprick Parking Lot and the Graham Road trail entrance will be closed to all pedestrian and bike traffic.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has unveiled an updated design for new playground equipment at Mission Creek Regional Park. The updated design ensures an inclusive and accessible play space for users of all abilities between the ages of two and 12.

The Phase 1 portion of Rose Valley Regional Park will reopen on February 28. Visitors should be aware that while recovery salvage harvesting in the adjacent area is nearing completion, further preparation to remove the fallen trees will occur during the first two weeks in March.

For the second year, Central Okanagan residents can take advantage of rebates of up to $150 by trading in their old gas-powered leaf blowers, lawnmowers, trimmers or chainsaws (two-stroke or four-stroke engines) for new, quieter electric models.
