Effective June 16, 2024, Stage 2 outdoor watering restrictions are in place for all RDCO water systems which include Star Place, Falcon Ridge, Killiney Beach, Sunset Ranch, Upper Fintry / Shalal Road / Valley of the Sun and Westshore. Restrictions are expected to remain in place until September 15, 2024 unless drought conditions worsen.

The Regional District is proposing inflation adjustments to its Development Cost Charge (DCCs) bylaws for the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and East Trunk sewer. The Regional District currently collects DCC's for the Westside Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant DCC Bylaw No. 1448 and East Trunk Development Cost Charges Bylaw No. 1463.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon, Joe Rich firefighters will flip pancakes and offer a car wash by donation on Father’s Day morning.

The annual Regional District Mosquito Control program is underway to help reduce mosquito larvae in areas where they develop. Mosquito populations usually peak in the Central Okanagan between mid-June and the end of July, but you can take steps now to help reduce bites throughout the summer.
