Regional Growth Strategy Priority Projects Plan 2024-2028
The Regional Board endorsed the Regional Growth Strategy Priority Project Plan 2024-2028. The Priority Projects Plan will guide regional initiatives over the next several years that cross jurisdictional boundaries and benefit from a regional approach to planning and coordination. While the regional project list is supported in principle, projects will be approved through the annual budget deliberation process.
Free tree chipping locations

When the holidays are over, residents can dispose of their natural Christmas trees in an eco-friendly way by having them chipped.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan suggests giving trees another life by dropping them off at one of the many free and convenient Chip It locations. The trees will then be chipped and composted into a nutrient-rich compost called Glen Grow, available at various locations, including the Glenmore Landfill.

The December 31st deadline is approaching for business licence renewals for businesses operating in the Central Okanagan East and/or Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas.
Renewal notices are being distributed by email only due to suspended mail delivery during the Canada Post strike. Trail Closure – Mission Creek Greenway

A section of the Mission Creek Greenway will be temporarily closed for construction on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This closure will affect the portion of the Greenway located upstream of the Hollywood Road South parking lot. The Greenway will remain open from Lakeshore Road to Hollywood Road South.
