2022 Financial Statements The Regional Board and Regional Hospital District Board approved the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2022. Approval of the 2022 financial statements is required to be completed no later than May 15th of the subsequent year to comply with Provincial legislation — Section 167 of the Community Charter.

Gordon underpass closed along Mission Creek Greenway

Rising water levels forced the closure of Gordon Drive bridge south underpass along the Mission Creek Greenway.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan urges visitors to respect any barricades and closure signs posted at these locations as they will remain closed until waters recede. We are closely monitoring other underpasses and sections along the Mission Creek Greenway as the BC River Forecast Centre indicates that creeks are expected to rise due to rainfall over the weekend.

Central Okanagan hosts Canada’s 3rd Nocturnal Preserve

A more than 400-hectare Central Okanagan regional park has been proclaimed a Nocturnal Preserve by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional Park joins Old Man on His Back Prairie and Heritage Conservation Area (Saskatchewan) and Ann and Sandy Cross Conservation Area (Foothills, Alberta) as Nocturnal Preserves.

Casorso underpass along Mission Creek Greenway closed

Rising water levels forced the closure of Casorso Road bridge underpass along the Mission Creek Greenway.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan urges visitors to respect any barricades and closure signs posted at these locations as they will remain closed until waters recede. Water Quality Advisory for Westshore and Killiney Beach water systems

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has issued a precautionary Water Quality Advisory for all customers of the Westshore Estatesand Killiney Beach water systems.
The advisory affects approximately 289 properties connected to the Westshore water system and 295 properties connected to the Killiney Beach water system. It’s the result of increased turbidity in the Okanagan Lake water source due to high stream flows, particularly in areas impacted by the White Rock Lake wildfire.
