Swimming Advisory at Reiswig Regional Park

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO), following recommendations from Interior Health Authority, has issued a Swimming Advisory at Reiswig Regional Park following a higher than acceptable e-coli count in water samples.
Residents are advised to follow posted notices at Reiswig Regional Park and not to swim or engage in water-related recreation activities until further notice. If water is ingested, swimmers may develop gastrointestinal illness, skin rashes and eye, ear and throat symptoms...
Four westside regional parks closed due to fire

Out of an abundance of caution, the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) closed four regional parks in the evacuation alert zone for the McDougall Creek Wildfire. The closed parks include:
- Traders Cover Regional Park
- Raymer Bay Regional Park
- Rose Valley Regional Park
- Upper Glen Canyon Regional Park from lower Glenrosa to Smith Creek

Fire in Mission Creek Regional Park

A section of Mission Creek Regional Park remains closed on the south side of Mission Creek going east on the Soopolallie Trail. Park visitors are asked to watch for barricades and stay out of the area until further notice so that fire crews can safely work.

Hardy Falls Regional Park closed for construction

Hardy Falls Regional Park will be closed for three days this week to allow construction crews to complete structural repair work to Bridge #1. The park will be closed Tuesday, August 15, Wednesday, August 16 and Thursday, August 17 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This includes the closure of the Owl Trail. The park will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18.
Signage and barricades will be in place during the closure. Please adhere to construction signage and worker direction.
Construction on the Mission Creek Greenway

On Tuesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 16, Mission Creek Greenway between Cedars Bridge and Smoothing Stone Bridge will be closed. This area is approximately 1 kilometre upstream of the Hollywood Road parking lot. The closure will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on both days while construction crews remove a large tree that fell into the creek and complete repairs to trail infrastructure.
