The December 31st deadline is approaching for business licence renewals for businesses operating in the Central Okanagan East and/or Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas.
Renewal notices are being distributed by email only due to suspended mail delivery during the Canada Post strike. Trail Closure – Mission Creek Greenway

A section of the Mission Creek Greenway will be temporarily closed for construction on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This closure will affect the portion of the Greenway located upstream of the Hollywood Road South parking lot. The Greenway will remain open from Lakeshore Road to Hollywood Road South.

Residents can expect some changes to their curbside waste collection schedule during the Christmas-New Year’s holiday period. Garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, or New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1.

Following a secret ballot vote at today’s Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) Board meeting, directors elected Loyal Wooldridge to serve as the Board Chair and Blair Ireland to serve as Vice-Chair. The election for Chair and Vice-Chair is held annually at the first meeting in November.
