Community clean-up month

April 1 marks the official kick off to Community Clean-up month, and you too can get involved! This annual program of the Regional District of Central Okanagan Waste Reduction Office is encouraging residents do some light spring cleaning in their own neighborhoods.
The RDCO Waste Reduction Office supports Community Clean-up month by supplying cleanup gear to participants:
- Gloves
- Bags
Once your cleanup is complete, the Waste Reduction Office can arrange to have the trash you collect picked up.

Wilson’s Landing Fire Department is on a spring recruiting drive!
A special event is planned for anyone interested in joining the department, living in communities along Westside Road between Traders Cove and Shelter Cove.

Regional Housing Strategy update
The Regional Board has received a progress update on development of the Regional Housing Strategy. The strategy is one of the Board’s priorities and will provide a regional approach to address challenges around affordability and increasing supply of affordable rental housing and home ownership. Following several months of stakeholder and public engagement opportunities, a draft housing strategy will be developed this spring.

The 250-hectare Rose Valley Regional Park is a highly valued destination for diverse variety of visitors.
On any given day you may see hikers and nature enthusiasts, runners and mountain bikers on the many formal and informal trails.
