Attention Garage Sale Shoppers –visit 150 garage sales in just one stop.

If you love a good bargain and the thrill of the garage sale hunt, you’ll want to check out the semi- annual Trunk Sale tomorrow at Okanagan College. Organized by the Regional Waste Reduction Office, the Trunk Sale is by far the Central Okanagan’s largest garage sale, featuring over 150 vendors selling their stuff straight from the trunks of their vehicles.

Mission Creek Greenway expansion celebrated

The Regional District has officially celebrated the opening of the expanded Mission Creek Greenway.

Lake Country pop up recycling depots

The Regional District Waste Reduction Office is hosting a series of new recycling events that will allow residents in the Central Okanagan to drop off depot only recyclables such as Styrofoam, glass and soft plastics in their own communities.

SILGA awards RDCO for flood mitigation strategy

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has received the Community Excellence Award for Environmental Sustainability from the Southern Interior Local Government Association (SILGA).

The award was presented during the recent annual SILGA conference in Salmon Arm.

The RDCO was recognized for its collaborative effort in developing a Regional Flood Mitigation Strategy as part of the on-going Floodplain Management Plan.  The project involved extensive input from all local governments, First Nations,...
