- KLO Creek Regional Park is closed due to high water levels in the creek.
- Previously announced closures of underpasses and a section along the Mission Creek Greenway will continue until water levels recede and damage can be assessed and repairs completed.

Mission Creek Greenway sections closed

Rising water levels and increased flows have resulted in the closure of portions of the Mission Creek Greenway recreational trail.

Spring freshet boating etiquette

Okanagan Lake mariners are encouraged to enjoy their outings on the water, have the required safety gear onboard and be considerate during high spring water levels.
With the annual freshet underway, lake levels continue to rise. Those heading out on Central Okanagan lakes are asked to be respectful – slow down and keep away from shore to protect against damage to lakeshore properties.

Regional Board meeting highlights - June 9, 2022

The Regional Board has approved renewing a partnership agreement with the Trustees of the Gellatly Cemetery for three years through 2025. The original agreement was signed in 1999 with the trustees who own and maintain the .631-hectare cemetery within the RDCO’s 2.54-hectare Gellatly Heritage Regional Park in West Kelowna. The trustees have successfully supported capital improvements and on-going maintenance in both the regional park and cemetery sites.
