Draft 2023-2027 Five-year Financial Plan
The Regional Board has received a presentation on the RDCO’s draft 2023-2027 Financial Plan. It totals over $61.4-million, up 3.4% from 2022 and includes over $13.2-million in debt with the Municipal Finance Authority on behalf of local governments and the Okanagan Regional Library. Notice of Parcel Tax Roll

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has prepared the 2023 Parcel Tax Roll as required by Section 203 of the Community Charter. The Parcel Tax Roll lists the parcels eligible to be taxed for the following services:
Lakeshore Road Improvements (Bylaw 1087)
Ridgeview Fire (Bylaw 909)
Waste/Environment Management (Bylaw 1298)
Upper Fintry Water (Bylaw 1254)

Bats exhibit at the EECO

A new exhibit at the EECO sheds some light on the world of bats.
‘Bats: Out of the darkness’ reminds us of the important role these flying, primarily nocturnal mammals play in our environment. The family-friendly content highlights bat ecology, biology, habitat needs, conservation and fun bat facts. By sharing information it is hoped that rather than fearing bats, residents will be inspired to help protect them.

Countdown to save on 2023 dog licenses

Central Okanagan dog owners have until February 28 to save on their 2023 dog license. Until the end of the month, a license for a dog that’s spayed or neutered costs $20 and $60 if it is not.
On March 1, regular annual rates will apply - $40 for a spayed/neutered dog and $80 if it is not. Aggressive and Dangerous dogs have specific license fees.
