Governance and services study moves ahead

The Regional Board approved the framework for a governance and services study for the Central Okanagan West electoral area.
The framework as outlined in the Terms of Reference will be used to guide the study process which is expected to see a final report delivered by the end of September next year.

The Regional Board approves the Ministry of Municipal Affairs Terms of Reference to guide a governance and services study for Central Okanagan West with an emphasis on North Westside communities. When you take down your natural Christmas tree after the holidays, dispose of it in an eco-friendly way and have it chipped.
The RDCO Waste Reduction Office recommends giving your tree another life by dropping it off at one of the many free and convenient Chip It locations. The tree will then be chipped and composted into a nutrient rich compost called GlenGrow available at various locations, including the Glenmore Landfill.

Joe Rich - Scotty Creek outdoor rinks

As winter weather conditions allow, outdoor ice rinks will be open in the RDCO Joe Rich and Scotty Creek community parks.
Typically, these facilities are available starting in late December or early January when there are consistent freezing temperatures.
Information on the status of each outdoor ice rink is available and updated at 250-469-6300.
For everyone’s safety, those using these outdoor skating rinks are asked to follow the latest COVID-19 public health guidelines.

With snow back in the forecast after the balmy temperatures of late, the Regional Waste Reduction Office reminds you- please be patient with respect to your waste collection during winter weather events.
