2022 RDCO Business License

Renewal notices are in the mail for Regional District of Central Okanagan business licenses.
All businesses operating in the Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West electoral areas are required to have a business license with the Regional District.
December 31 is the deadline for existing business license renewals at the rate of $85. After that date, all license renewals will be $110 which includes a $25 late fee.

FireSmart projects grant application
The Regional Board supports applying to the Union of BC Municipalities Community Resiliency Investment Fund for two FireSmart Community Funding projects. The proposed projects involve employing a FireSmart Coordinator for one year and developing a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan for related FireSmart activities in the two electoral areas along with a grant program for those residents. Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers has again been recognized by its crime-fighting peers around the world.
This morning, Crime Stoppers International, the global non-profit organization announced its annual awards for outstanding local Crime Stoppers programs. Of the hundreds of Crime Stoppers programs in countries around the world, Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers has received the award for Productivity – Total Property and Drugs Recovered in the up to 300,000 population category.

Temporarily store glass and styrofoam

Due to the unprecedented flooding and resulting road closures throughout BC, collection of glass and styrofoam packaging is temporarily on hold at most recycling depots in the Central Okanagan.
Starting Monday, November 22, glass and styrofoam packaging (both white and colored) will no longer be collected at the following depot locations until normal operations resume:
- Glenmore Landfill recycle depot
- Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre
