Business waste

Business waste makes up 70% of the waste in the Central Okanagan, so disposing of your garbage in the most responsible way and reducing waste whenever possible is important to extend the life of our one and only local landfill.

Garbage and recycling options

  • Self-haul your garbage to the Glenmore Landfill (please note, commercial recyclables are not accepted at the landfill)
  • Take recyclables to Planet Earth Recycling at 1400 Industrial Road, West Kelowna (currently this is the only depot that accepts self-haul commercial recyclables)
  • Hire a waste hauling company for both recyclables and garbage
  • For larger, regular volumes of recyclables, set up an account with Cascades Recovery
  • Check out the Waste disposal guide for mandatory recyclables
