All waste generated in the Central Okanagan is transported to the Glenmore Landfill. The Regional District and member municipalities collect garbage in curbside carts from single family homes on a weekly basis.
Apartments and condos are serviced by private waste haulers and questions should be directed to strata councils, property managers or the specific waste hauler.
Residents not serviced by curbside cart collection in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area can use their local transfer station:
Residents on Westbank First Nation (WFN) Reserves #9 and #10 and Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB), Duck Lake Reserve #7 are not serviced by RDCO curbside garbage collection. Contact band offices for questions.
