On Saturday, October 5, celebrate the cultural heritage and natural beauty of B.C.'s oldest working nut farm at Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park. Enjoy live musical entertainment, heritage demonstrations and activities for all ages in a relaxed setting. Stroll the century-old nut orchard and learn about the nut tree varieties and the heritage of the Gellatly Family. Join the fun in the morning or the afternoon. This free festival runs between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. with a break in demonstrations between 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The Gellatly Nut Farm Society will have custom wooden bowls, wooden boards along with a limited number of nuts available for purchase with cash or etransfer. Proceeds from all sales benefit the Society.
Visitors should note that 2024 nut yields are expected to be lower than average for most varieties.
Activities include:
- Guided walks at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
- Live music: Nice and Easy Duo and Mickey Reeves
- Watercolour painting (supplies provided)

Park visitors are asked to be mindful of pedestrians as they navigate the parking area and roads adjacent to the nut farm. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist.
