On February 8, 2024, the Regional District of Central Okanagan Electoral Area Services Committee selected Kevin Kraft to serve as Chair and Angie Derrickson as Vice Chair for this term ending December 2024.
The Electoral Area Services Committee (EASC) is a five-member standing committee established and appointed by the Chair of the Regional Board to consider matters related to electoral area services which is inclusive of Westbank First Nation lands. The EASC considers electoral area financing, services and Board endorsed advocacy initiatives. As an advisory committee, the EASC recommends actions to the Regional Board when required.
Elected in 2022, Kevin Kraft is the Director for Electoral Area East and Vice Chair of the Regional Board. An active member of the Electoral Area East community, he is a past member of the Ellison Fire Department, President of the Ellison Parks and Recreation Society and Director on the Okanagan Sun Board.
Angie Derrickson is a Westbank First Nation Councillor and Appointee to the EASC. An active member of the WFN community, she sits as Council representative on the WFN Allotment Commission. She is the Manager of Training, Mentorship and Professional Development at the First Nations Land Management Resource Centre and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in governance to her role as Vice-Chair.
The RDCO Board’s strategic priorities provide direction for staff in the provision of more than 70 programs and services on behalf of the Central Okanagan’s population.
