It doesn’t matter whether your dog is named Charlie, Bela, Bailey or Lucy*, all dogs three months of age and older must be licensed in the Central Okanagan.
And dog owners can save $20 by renewing or purchasing a new dog license before the end of the month. On March 1, regular annual rates will apply - $40 for a dog that is spayed/neutered and $80 if it is not. The fee discount and rates do not apply to licenses for dogs deemed Aggressive or Dangerous.
Renewing or buying a new license is quick, easy and secure using the online links at rdco.com/dogs. It also helps reduce person to person contacts during the COVID pandemic.
Owners may choose to renew or buy a new license in person at:
- the Regional District office (1450 KLO Road)
- Regional Dog Pound (890 Weddell Place)
- Municipal offices in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country and Peachland
Visitors to these facilities should anticipate health and safety requirements including the wearing of masks, physical distancing and possible restrictions on in-person visitor numbers.
The Regional District reminds all dog owners to keep their license up to date as there is zero tolerance and a hefty fine for unlicensed dogs.
