Draft Regional Hospital District budget
The Central Okanagan Regional Hospital District (CORHD) Board has received the draft 2022-2026 Financial Plan. The 2022 budget proposes the CORHD provide $39.65-million for its share in funding new and previously approved capital equipment and projects requested by Interior Health. Among the new requests for funding this year: a pharmacy upgrade at Kelowna General Hospital, replacement of an existing MRI unit and installation of an additional MRI, and a new CT Scanner. The significant rise in assessments will result in a decrease of $27.16 in the 2022 requisition for the average property owner to $169.48. Even with the decrease, the CORHD will continue to build reserves for future health projects. Final adoption of the Hospital District Financial Plan is scheduled for the March 28 Board meeting.
