UBCM Grant Application – Emergency Operations Centre Equipment and Training
The Regional Board supported the submission of an application to the 2024 UBCM Community Emergency Preparedness Fund for $172,000 under the Emergency Operations Centre Equipment and Training stream.
Noxious Weed Control Bylaw and Noxious Pest and Insect Control Bylaw
The Regional Board gave first, second and third readings and adopted the Noxious Weed Control Bylaw No. 1544 to add Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) as an Invasive Tree and the statement “in addition to any other species identified by the Provincial invasive species authority” to the Bylaw. The Regional Board also gave first, second and third readings and adopted Noxious Pest and Insect Control Bylaw No. 1545 to add Spotted Lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula) as a pre-emptive measure to the Bylaw.
