Property owners in the Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas should be receiving their 2025 Rural Property Tax Notices from the BC Government in the mail.
To avoid any penalty, property owners in these areas should ensure that their Rural Property Tax is paid to the Ministry of Finance by the July 2, 2025, due date. The province collects Rural Property Tax Notice payments in electoral areas, while municipal governments directly collect the taxes for Regional District purposes from their property owners.
Electoral Area residents can visit rdco.com/tax-estimator/ and search their property address in the tool to see a breakdown of property totals, including property taxes and parcel taxes for services delivered by the RDCO. If residents have questions about their 2025 tax rates, they can contact finance@rdco.com.
Questions about the Rural Property Tax Notice, the Homeowner Grant Application, or tax deferment programs should be directed to the Surveyor of Taxes at 1-888-355-2700, email ruraltax@gov.bc.ca, or visit the Ministry of Finance website.
All property owners in the Central Okanagan are reminded that the Regional District doesn’t collect taxes directly and cannot accept Property Tax payments. Property owners in the City of Kelowna, City of West Kelowna, District of Lake Country, and District of Peachland must direct their property tax payments to their local government.
