Everything you need to know about what’s happening in your Regional Parks is available in the new edition of the RDCO parks program guide.
The six-page colour guide is available anytime online at rdco.com/parksguide. Printed copies are also available at the EECO in Mission Creek Regional Park and at the Regional District office (1450 KLO Road) in Kelowna.
The guide has everything you need to know about all the activities, events and programs in our Regional Parks through February. They’re also conveniently listed in the month-by-month program calendar.
Some of the highlights include:
- Discover your parks – these guided outings give you an insider’s look at the trails, history and unique features in a different regional park
- Nature inspired art programs – located in the Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan, we provide the art supplies for participants of any age to explore their creative inspiration, while learning more about our local flora and fauna
- Winter wonder night walks – dress for the weather and engage your senses are you take in the forest at night. We have ice cleats and hot chocolate for participants that bring along a flashlight, headlamp, and mu
Even though most of our programs are offered for free, people must pre-register at rdco.com/parkprograms. During the winter months, please make sure you’re properly prepared for the conditions with appropriate clothing (layers), sturdy shoes and traction or anti-slip devices.
During 2021, Regional Parks Visitor Services staff reached more than 27,000 people taking in interpretive programs, and special events.
