Ice rinks

There are two outdoor ice rinks for public use located in the Joe Rich and Scotty Creek communities. Both rinks are free to use and cannot be booked. These recreational facilities are available to use at your own risk. Appropriate protective equipment (e.g. helmets) are required. Adult supervision is strongly recommended. 

February 28, 2024 - Both outdoor ice rinks (Joe Rich and Scotty Creek) are closed for the 2023/2024 season.

For the status and conditions of open rinks call the RDCO outdoor ice rink information line: 250-469-6300. Ice rinks are weather dependent. Consistent nighttime temperatures of below -7 C and daytime temperatures below zero C for several days are required to make ice.
