Working with other local governments and regional districts to preserve water quality in our larger valley lakes is the primary objective of the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB). The OBWB is located at the office of the Regional District of Central Okanagan (1450 KLO Road, Kelowna). OBWB provides funding for water quality and conservation initiatives, waste water treatment facilities and aquatic weed management. The Regional District appoints three members to the Water Board each year and two members to the Sterile Insect Release program.
