Invasive insect control bylaw

Invasive insects are defined as noxious or destructive insects or related pests that are identified as potential or recently introduced invasive alien species by the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Lands. These types of insects are considered to be harmful or destructive. They could carry or cause diseases and are usually aggressive.

Report a complaint

Bylaws are not enforced pro-actively. Concerns or complaints must be reported to initiate enforcement.

It is helpful to include any or all of the following:

  • Civic address or detailed description of problem location.
  • Any owner or occupier information (if known).
  • Your specific concern.
  • Your name, address and phone number (this is only for the inspector to contact you for further information – your personal information is never given out).
