Invasive insect control bylaw
Invasive insects are defined as noxious or destructive insects or related pests that are identified as potential or recently introduced invasive alien species by the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Lands. These types of insects are considered to be harmful or destructive. They could carry or cause diseases and are usually aggressive.
Bylaws
- Noxious Insect and Pest Control | Bylaw No. 1545 applies to all Regional District of Central Okanagan Electoral Areas, the District of Lake Country and the District of Peachland.
- City of Kelowna Bylaw No. 8564 applies to the City of Kelowna.

Bylaws are not enforced pro-actively. Concerns or complaints must be reported to initiate enforcement.
