Central Okanagan East Electoral Area

Encompassing the scenic rural east side of Okanagan Lake, this electoral area sits in an unincorporated area outside the City of Kelowna and District of Lake Country. Its two largest communities are: Ellison (located to the northeast of Kelowna on Old Vernon Road) and Joe Rich (located 24 km east of Kelowna on Highway 33).

Land use in the Joe Rich area is regulated by the Joe Rich Rural Land Use | Bylaw No. 1195. The remainder of the Electoral Area is regulated by the Zoning | Bylaw No. 871, which is supplemented by the South Slopes Official Community Plan | Bylaw No. 1304 and Ellison Official Community Plan | Bylaw No. 1124.

The Regional District is not responsible for issues regarding roads in the Central Okanagan East Electoral Area. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has jurisdiction over public roads within this area.
