Paid on-call fire fighters

The RDCO oversees the recruitment of paid on-call fire fighters for the following areas:

  • Ellison Fire Department
  • Joe Rich Fire Rescue
  • North Westside Fire Rescue
  • Wilson's Landing Fire Department

Summer students

We hire summer students for employment, usually starting in May and running until the end of August. Positions vary from year to year and post-secondary students are encouraged to submit their job application packages early in the calendar year (January to February) to our Human Resources Department for review. In order to qualify, you must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and you must be returning to full-time studies the following semester.
