Park programs (guided hikes, nature programs and events) are offered year-round throughout Regional Parks in the Central Okanagan. Our enthusiastic team of park interpreters are eager to share their knowledge of nature and provide inspiration for outdoor exploration.

    A program for parents, parents-to-be, and caregivers to enjoy the outdoors with little ones. Join us for a guided walk along accessible trails in Mission Creek Regional Park, connect with other families, and discover the benefits of fresh air and gentle exercise. Program runs on Friday mornings from April through October. Registration required.

    The secret life of burrowers 🐿️

    Investigate the fascinating world of animals that make their homes underground. On this guided hike, you will learn about American badgers, Columbian ground squirrels, and the golden-bellied marmot and how they rely on burrows for shelter, food storage, and survival. Registration required.

    Wander scenic trails and discover the beauty of the Arrowleaf balsamroot and other spring wildflowers. With a knowledgeable guide leading the way, we’ll hike through trails while learning about native plants, pollination, and the seasonal rhythms of local ecosystems.  Registration required.
