Construction notice – Mission Creek Greenway at KLO Road
A portion of Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park will be temporarily closed due to construction work
A portion of Mission Creek Greenway Regional Park will be temporarily closed due to construction work on the KLO Bridge, where the Greenway intersects KLO Road.
Construction is scheduled to take place Wednesday, August 27 through Friday, August 29, with the area reopening for the weekend. If additional work is required, crews may return Monday, September 1 and Tuesday, September 2 to complete the project.
Park users are encouraged to:
- Watch for signage and barricades indicating closures and detours.
- Plan their visits accordingly to avoid the affected area during construction.
- Use caution near the work zone and follow all posted instructions for safety.
This work is part of the City of Kelowna’s K.L.O. Road Bridge Replacement project, which includes replacing the K.L.O. bridge, improving the surrounding area and installing a roundabout. These upgrades will help improve traffic flow, increase intersection safety and support active transportation options, ensuring a safe and reliable connection to Southeast Kelowna.
The Regional District offers more than 2,100 hectares of parkland including 86 km of designated trails in 30 regional parks for visitors to explore. Visit rdco.com/parks to plan your next outing.
