RDCO PSA - Holiday curbside collection schedule changes
Residents should note changes to curbside waste, recycling and yard waste collection.
As the holidays approach, residents should note changes to curbside waste, recycling and yard waste collection during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays; there will be no collection on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) or New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1).
As a result, curbside collection moves to the next day for residents with Thursday and Friday collection, for two weeks.
- Thursday, December 25 collection moves to Friday, December 26
- Friday, December 26 collection moves to Saturday, December 27
- Thursday, January 1 collection moves to Friday, January 2
- Friday, January 2 collection moves to Saturday, January 3, 2026
The regular collection schedule resumes the week of Monday, January 5, 2026. Yard waste collection ends on December 31, 2025, and resumes in March 2026. For missed pickups, or to replace damaged or missing carts, residents should call Environmental 360 Solutions (E360S) at 250-868-3211.
Living Greener calendar printing discontinued
In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, the RDCO will no longer produce the Living Greener printed calendar. While we are sorry to see it go, this change helps to reduce paper waste and supports our goal of minimizing environmental impact.
We encourage residents to use Recycle Coach, our free, downloadable app as a digital resource, for personalized reminders, disposal tips and schedule updates. Residents may also download their personal collection schedule into the online calendar of their choice, set a reminder or download a PDF through the lookup tool available at rdco.com/pickup-schedule. Digital tools enable the most accurate and up-to-date information on waste collection schedules, including holiday changes and service alerts.
The 2026 curbside collection schedule will be available for download at rdco.com/pickup-schedule in January.
