Earlier today, the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) was made aware of a planned event featuring Sean Feucht scheduled to take place on August 23, 2025, at a private property located in the Joe Rich area.
We recognize that this event has generated public interest and concern.
The event as it has been announced by the organizers will be held on private property and falls outside the scope of RDCO’s authority to regulate. The Joe Rich Rural Land Use Bylaw (No. 1195) does not require permits or approvals for free events held on private land.
While the RDCO’s authorities are limited in this regard, we remain committed to ensuring public safety. We will continue to monitor the situation and respond to any issues that fall within our role. As with any event, we will also continue to work with other agencies such as Fire and the RCMP, if the event impacts public safety.
