KLO building renovations

Visitors will see construction activity as renovations begin

Starting July 14, 2025, visitors to the Regional District of Central Okanagan’s office at 1450 K.L.O Road will see construction activity as renovations begin.

The building was constructed in the mid-1990s and no longer meets the needs of residents or staff. The renovations are focused on improving safety, accessibility and improving customer service. The main change is the creation of a single “one-stop-shop” customer service desk that will make it easier for residents to get help in one place, without having to visit multiple counters throughout the building.

The building will remain open throughout construction and all services will continue to be available. During construction this summer, visitors are asked to check in at a temporary reception area. Signage will be posted to guide you.

This work is being paid for through the building’s capital reserve and does not require new tax dollars. To keep costs down, the project uses the existing building layout and repurposes furniture wherever possible.

The new customer service desk is expected to open this fall, with all work completed by December 2025.

We understand that construction can be inconvenient. Thank you for your patience as we make these necessary improvements to better serve you.
