Planned BC Hydro power outage may result in water service interruption

Customers of the Dietrich/Star Place/Trepanier water system may experience a temporary water service interruption due to a planned BC Hydro power outage. The BC Hydro outage is a result of a pole replacement in the area that requires electricity to be turned off.

BC Hydro power outage is scheduled for:

• Tuesday, January 21, 2025 - 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Please note, scheduled power outages may be subject to cancellation without prior notice due to adverse weather conditions or availability of crews during an emergency. Stay up to date on planned BC Hydro power outages and find information on how to prepare by visiting bchydro.com.

The Regional District recommends that water customers fill a container, sink or bathtub so they have water available for use during this time.

We understand water service interruptions are inconvenient and appreciate your patience and understanding.

The Regional District provides water service to just over 1,100 connections in six areas.
