Potential water outage for some customers of Sunset Ranch water system

Crews will be performing a planned repair to a leak in the Sunset Ranch water system on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. This work may result in a temporary water outage for the following properties:

• 3748 SUNSET RANCH DR
• 3736 SUNSET RANCH DR
• 3724 SUNSET RANCH DR
• 3712 SUNSET RANCH DR
• 3774 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3762 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3750 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3738 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3726 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3714 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3702 PINE VALLEY DR
• 3690 PINE VALLEY DR

Traffic and safety notice:

Watch for roadside signage or safety cones in the Sunset Ranch area while work is underway. Drivers may experience minor traffic impacts. Please avoid the area and slow down and drive with care near workers.

How to prepare for a water outage:

Residents in the affected area may wish to take the following steps:

• Store enough drinking water for the expected duration of the outage
• Turn off hot and cold taps, and any appliances that use water
• Isolate the supply to hot water tanks (if not possible, avoid using hot water, as impurities may enter the tank and affect performance)
• Fill a bathtub or other large container with water for non-drinking use, such as toilet flushing, and flush only when necessary
• Use hand sanitizer for handwashing, if needed

After the outage:

Once repairs are complete, RDCO crews will flush the system. Customers should run a cold water tap until the water runs clear.

Depending on the severity of the leak, operators may need to disinfect and flush the affected portion of the water system. This will result in a boil water advisory. If required, notices will be sent by email and posted at rdco.com/water.
