Spring water system flushing and valve exercising notice

This spring, residents will notice crews performing annual water main flushing and valve exercising for the Westshore Estates, Killiney Beach and Upper Fintry/Shalal Road/Valley of the Sun water systems. Beginning Monday, March 25, flushing will occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., until Friday, April 11, 2025.

Watch for roadside notice boards in your area when flushing occurs. Drivers may notice an impact to traffic as crews work. Please drive slowly around workers for their safety.

While crews are flushing, water pressure can vary slightly, thus it is recommended that residents avoid laundry use during these hours. Slight water discoloration may also be noticeable. Please check water before use. If discoloration occurs, run the cold water tap until water runs clear.

Annual system flushing ensures optimum water quality and removes any sediment deposits that may accumulate over time.
