The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is pleased to announce the return of pop-up recycling depots for residents in Lake Country and Peachland in 2026, supported by Recycle BC.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) is once again making backyard composters available exclusively for Central Okanagan residents through an online pre-sale running March 2 to 31, 2026. Composters are available for $45, including tax and delivery, and will be delivered directly to residents’ homes in time for spring gardening.

Starting Monday, March 2, all residents receiving curbside garbage and recycling collection will once again benefit from yard waste pickup every two weeks until the end of December.

Recycle BC will transition to managing curbside recycling service in the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) beginning May 1, 2026.

Residents will notice new signage at the facility formerly known as the Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre.

Residents should note changes to curbside waste, recycling and yard waste collection.
