Garbage
All waste generated in the Central Okanagan is transported to the Glenmore Landfill. Learning how to dispose of waste in a responsible way will help extend the life of our only local landfill.
Curbside collection
The RDCO and member municipalities provide curbside cart collection for garbage from single family dwellings on a weekly basis.

Residents in the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area that do not have curbside cart collection can use their local transfer station:
Multi-unit buildings
The RDCO does not provide waste collection services to multi-unit buildings, like apartments or condos.Multi-unit buildings are serviced by private waste haulers. Questions regarding waste or recycling are best directed to strata councils, property managers or the specific waste hauler.
WFN and OKIB lands
The RDCO does not provide waste collection services to residents on Westbank First Nation (WFN) Reserves #9 and #10 and Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB) Duck Lake Reserve #7. Contact band offices for questions:

Tag-a-bag
The RDCO offers Tag-a-bag stickers for up to two additional bags of garbage. The stickers are $2.50 each and are available to residents at the following locations:
