Every season, our visitor services team receives questions from residents and visitors eager to make the most of their Regional Parks experience. Here are some of the most common questions, and the answers that help people get outdoors with confidence.

“Where can I find a park near me?”

With 30 Regional Parks across the Central Okanagan, there’s likely a great outdoor destination just around the corner. Visitors can explore park maps, trail information and amenities online before heading out, making it easy to find the perfect spot for a walk, picnic, paddle or nature adventure.

“Are there programs for families and kids?”

Absolutely! Regional Parks offers year-round programs designed for all ages. Popular family-friendly programs include Storytime, Roll & stroll and seasonal nature activities that encourage children and caregivers to learn and explore together.

“Do I need to be an experienced hiker to join a program?”

Not at all. Programs are offered at a variety of activity levels, from leisurely walks and wellness programs to more active guided hikes. The program guide clearly outlines pace, duration and difficulty, helping participants choose experiences that are right for them.

“Can I host a special event in a regional park?”
