Business and industry leaders invited to join COEDC Advisory Committee for 2027

Business and industry leaders across the Central Okanagan are invited to help shape the region's economic future by joining the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission's (COEDC) 2027 Advisory Committee.

The COEDC is a service of the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) and has supported regional economic growth since 1978. Its work focuses on helping businesses grow, attracting investment and building connections and partnerships that strengthen the regional economy. The COEDC serves the Central Okanagan East and West Electoral Areas, Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, West Kelowna and Westbank First Nation.

The Advisory Committee brings together leaders from across the region to share industry expertise, identify emerging challenges and opportunities and provide practical insights that help inform the COEDC's priorities and initiatives.

“Bringing together leaders from a diverse range of sectors and communities is one of the Advisory Committee's greatest strengths,” said Ryan Malcolm, incoming Chair of the COEDC Advisory Committee for 2027. “By sharing our regional perspectives and experiences, we can better understand the needs of businesses, identify opportunities and collaborate to strengthen the economic future of the Central Okanagan.”

The RDCO Board is the COEDC's governing and decision-making body. The Advisory Committee serves in an advisory capacity, providing market intelligence and a direct connection to the business community to help inform economic development programs and priorities.

Why join the COEDC Advisory Committee?

Members of the committee gain access to valuable economic insights, expand their professional networks, contribute to meaningful projects and ensure the voice of their industry or sector is represented in regional economic development discussions.

The approximately 45-member committee represents sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, aerospace, construction and development, healthcare, professional services, technology, tourism, viticulture and post-secondary education, alongside business associations and community partners.
