COEDC launches new Business Resource Hub to support Central Okanagan businesses
Making it easier for businesses across the Central Okanagan to access the supports they need to start, grow and succeed.
The Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission (COEDC) has launched a newly refreshed Business Resource Hub, a digital platform designed to make it easier for businesses across the Central Okanagan to access the supports they need to start, grow and succeed.
The digital hub brings together the region’s business support ecosystem into a single, user-friendly platform, offering entrepreneurs and business owners a comprehensive view of available programs, services and organizations, all in one place.
“Our goal is to make navigating business support as simple and accessible as possible,” said Krista Mallory, Manager of the COEDC. “The new Business Resource Hub reflects our commitment to supporting local businesses by connecting them to the right resources faster, helping them make informed decisions and strengthening the overall resilience of our regional economy.”
At launch, the hub features approximately 250 programs and organizations, consolidating a wide network of support providers, including chambers of commerce, Community Futures offices and other regional partners. By centralizing this information, the hub eliminates the need for businesses to search across multiple websites and sources.
The platform is powered by advanced technology and includes AI-enabled features that enhance the user experience. Businesses can easily search and filter resources by topic, including starting a business, financing, exporting, Indigenous business supports, networking and emergency preparedness. This ensures users can quickly identify relevant services based on their specific needs.
The AI powered technology keeps listings current and organized, giving businesses access to reliable and up-to-date information. This modernized approach reflects a refreshed, streamlined experience, making it easier for users to quickly find relevant resources and support.
The hub also provides valuable insights into what resources are being accessed most frequently, helping the COEDC better understand business needs and adapt programming accordingly. This data-driven approach strengthens the COEDC’s ability to deliver targeted support and improve service delivery across the region.
