Have a Spooktacular good time at Mission Creek Regional Park

Get into the Halloween spirit with an evening of spooky fun at Mission Creek Regional Park.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) invites residents to the annual Spooktacular event on Saturday, October 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Spooktacular is a free, family-friendly evening walk through Mission Creek Regional Park and a great way to enjoy the park during the fall season.

Wander along dimly lit trails filled with spooky scenes, costumed creatures, Halloween decorations and surprises around every corner. For the comfort and safety of all guests, attendees are asked to leave pets at home.

Show off your carving skills

Want to be part of the magic? Community members are invited to contribute a carved pumpkin to the display.

Pumpkins can be dropped off at the Leckie Road entrance to Mission Creek Regional Park between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24. For safety reasons, only flameless, battery-powered candles are permitted.

An RDCO Parks carving committee will select standout pumpkins in the funniest, cutest, scariest and most original categories. Winning pumpkins will be featured on RDCO Parks social media following the event and in the days leading up to Halloween on October 31. Participants can pick up their pumpkins between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. after the event.

The Central Okanagan Food Bank will also be onsite during Spooktacular accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations to support local families in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation if they are able.
