Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Killiney Beach and Westshore Estates water systems
The Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) has issued a precautionary Boil Water Notice for residents served by the Killiney Beach and Westshore Estates Water Systems due to a temporary disruption to water system operations. Water sampling and testing are being carried out to confirm conditions are acceptable and safe, not to change or restore water levels.
This notice affects all properties connected to these systems. Roadside sign notices will be in place to advise affected residents. The affected properties include all properties within Killiney Beach and Westshore Estates connected to the Regional District water system.
To safely consume water, bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least 60 seconds. Once cooled, use it for drinking, brushing teeth, washing and preparing food, and making beverages or ice. Customers may choose bottled or distilled water as an alternative.
The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until bacterial testing and disinfection levels are confirmed to be within normal drinking water standards in the distribution system.
