Here's what you might have missed from the Regional Board
Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission model evolution
The Regional Board considered a report regarding the future evolution of the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission (COEDC) service model. The report recommended that staff be directed to report back to the Regional Board with an analysis of current economic development service delivery models that advance municipal priorities while leveraging high-value functions of the regional COEDC service.
Following the discussion, the Board supported a motion to defer the matter. As a result, no decision was made and no further action will be taken by the RDCO at this time.
The COEDC will continue to operate and deliver economic development services as usual.
