Business waste
Business waste makes up 70% of the waste sent to the Glenmore Landfill. Learning how to dispose of waste in a responsible way contributes to the sustainability of your business and will help extend the life of our only local landfill.
Garbage and recycling options

Commercial cardboard is accepted at the Glenmore Landfill for a fee. - Commercial recyclables are accepted at Planet Earth Recycling (1400 Industrial Road, West Kelowna).

- For larger, regular volumes of recyclables, set up an account with Cascades Recovery Kelowna.
Mandatory recyclables
There are a number of recyclables that are banned from landfills. At the Glenmore Landfill, waste loads found with mandatory recyclables mixed in are subject to a $150/tonne mandatory recyclables surcharge.
